What is 1-methoxy-2-propanol?

1-methoxy-2-propanol also known as propylene glycol monomethyl ether (PGME);PM Solvant. It has a slight ether smell, but no strong pungent smell, which makes its use more extensive and safe. Propylene glycol methyl ether is an environmentally friendly organic solvent, which is widely used in chemical production. PM has strong solubility, low toxicity, and can be miscible with water and a variety of organic solvents; it has strong coupling properties; low surface tension; low viscosity; and high evaporation rate.

Applications：

1.Solvent: 1-methoxy-2-propanol is primarily used in the manufacture of lacquers and paints. It is suitable for styrene - acrylic emulsions, acrylic emulsions, and their latex paint systems. It can also dissolve cellulose, acrylics, dyes, inks, and stains.
2.Antifreeze: PGME is used as an antifreeze in industrial engines.
