Potassium hydrogen monopersulfate or potassium peroxymonosulfate is highly water soluble and corrosive. It is widely used in industrial production and disinfection because it provides superb chlorine-free oxidation potential and microbiological efficiency. It also has good storage stability.
Uses
Potassium hydrogen monopersulfate can be used in oral hygiene formulations, pool and spa shock and disinfection, paper recycling, printed circuit board etching, wool shrinkage control, laundry bleach, precious metal extraction processes, and compounds such as mercaptans, sulfides, disulfides and sulfites in wastewater treatment.
It is also an oxygen releaser in aquaculture and a low temperature bleaching agent in detergent formulations.
