2-Phenoxyethanol 99% is an organic compound with the molecular formula of C8H10O2. Phenoxyethanol is an organic compound, colorless slightly viscous liquid, slightly fragrant and astringent. It is soluble in water and can be mixed with acetone, sodium hydroxide, ethanol and glycerin at will. Slightly soluble in water, it is a common preservative in cosmetics and one of the relatively safe preservatives. The maximum limit concentration of phenoxyethanol in cosmetics is 1%, and the solution is 0.1% - 2% (including 10% ethanol). It has antibacterial effect (generally used together with quaternary ammonium salt), and is often used as a substitute for highly toxic sodium azide in biological buffer solution, because the toxicity of phenoxyethanol is low and it is not active to copper and lead chemically. In cosmetics, skin care products, vaccines and drugs, they usually play the role of preservatives.

Applications：
