What is Eprinomectin?

Eprinomectin Injection is a dewormer drug used to treat or prevent certain parasitic infections in cows. It can treat a wide range of parasites such as gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, grubs, lice, and mange mites. Eprinomectin is also used for horn flies in cows of all ages.

A single dose of eprinomectin provides up to 150 days of parasite control.

Can you use eprinomectin on goats?

Eprinomectin injection is a broad-spectrum anti-parasitic drug. It is used for the expulsion of gastrointestinal nematodes, intrapulmonary nematodes and other parasites and mites, ticks, lice, warblers, mites and other veterinary parasites in goats.

 

Eprinomectin is used to treat gastrointestinal roundworms (including inhibited Ostertagia ostertagi), lungworms, grubs, sucking and biting lice, chorioptic and sarcoptic mange mites and horn flies.

Dosage of Eprinomectin injection for goats

Administration: Subcutaneously at 1 mL/110 pounds.

Available Sizes: 100mL, 250mL, and 500mL (250 and 500mL sizes include plastic bottle protectors).

Prescription Status: Restricted to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

 

Precautions

Species-Specific Use: Intended for specific livestock and exotic animal species.

Post-Injection Reactions: Possible site reactions, typically resolving without treatment.
