What is Oxytetracycline used for in cow?
One of the most common uses is in cattle for treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) caused by Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, and Histophilus somni (formerly Haemophilus somnus).
How to inject oxytetracycline in cow?
Intramuscular injection: One dose, 0.033-0.067ml per 1kg body weight in livestock.
Notes:
1. The product should be kept away from light and sealed, and stored in a cool, dark, and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. Do not use metal containers to hold medicine.
2.Avoid using it when suffering from severe damage to the liver and kidney function of animals.
How long should Oxytetracycline Injection be administered to cows ?
The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the infection. It should continue for 24-48 hours after symptoms have subsided, based on veterinary advice.
