Is tilmicosin toxic in poultry?

In poultry, tilmicosin (Tilmicosin) does carry some risk of toxicity. Although it is primarily used to treat respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasma and some gram-positive bacteria, tilmicosin can cause toxic reactions if not dosed properly. Studies have shown that high doses of tilmicosin may cause cardiovascular and respiratory side effects in poultry, such as arrhythmia and shortness of breath. Since the toxic effects of tilmicosin are closely related to the dose and duration, it is usually recommended that the recommended dose is strictly followed, especially when administered through drinking water, to ensure uniform dissolution and accurate dose control.
