Diethanolamine is also called diethanol amine. It is a white crystal or colorless liquid with strong hygroscopicity. It is easily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone and benzene. Its solubility in benzene (g/100g) is 4.2 at 25°C and in ether is 0.8. Its uses are: gas purifier, which can absorb acidic gases in the gas, such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, etc; it is also used as an emulsifier, lubricant, shampoo, thickener, etc.; an organic synthesis intermediate, used in the production of detergent raw materials, preservatives and daily chemical products (such as surfactants); and synthesized morpholine.
