What is Ceftiofur Hydrochloride

Ceftiofur is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, though some consider it a "new generation" cephalosporin. It works by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. It shows bactericidal action against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Mannheimia, Actinobacillus, Streptococcus, Salmonella, and E. coli.

Ceftiofur Hydrochloride Suspension for Injection is an antibiotic drug used to treat certain infections in animals such as horses, cows, goats, sheep,poultry. It is indicated for the treatment of infections like shipping fever, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and bovine interdigital necrobacillosis.

Usage and dosage of Ceftiofur Hydrochloride for poultry


Chick health care: can be used at the same time with the oil seedling, each 10ml, 1 day old chicks: 3000---4000 birds/branch; 7 days old laying hens: 2500 birds/branch, 7 days old broiler chicks: 1500---2000 birds branch.

 

For adult chickens: 10ml each, for bacterial diseases or viral diseases. Treatment:Suggested dosage, subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, 3mg/kg can be injected about 200kg--300kg body weight per injection.
