What is Sulfadiazine and Trimethoprim Suspension ?
This product is white or light yellow suspension.Sulfadiazine is classified as a sulfonamide antibiotic. It displays action against most gram-positive and many gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting folic acid synthesis within the bacteria. Trimethoprim is classified as an antibiotic and folate synthesis inhibitor. As both these drugs affect purine synthesis, they are highly productive treatment options for many infections.
What is Sulfadiazine and Trimethoprim Suspension used for?
1. Chicken: infectious rhinitis, E. coli, Mycoplasma synoviae, white diarrhea, typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, cholera, staphylococcal disease, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, white crown disease, necrotizing enterocolitis and so on.
2. Ducks, geese: duck plasmacytosis, E. coli, white diarrhea, typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, chaos, colds (bacillus influenzae) and so on.
3. On the residence of leukocyte protozoa, coccidia, erythrocytes, toxoplasmosis and other protozoan infections office has a good prevention and control role.

Precautions of Sulfadiazine and Trimethoprim Suspension
Do NOT use Sulfadiazine and Trimethoprim suspension for an animal that:
- Has a known allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
- Has severe renal impairment.
- Has blood dyscrasias.
- Is an animal with a mature rumen.
- Treatment with this drug should be administered with caution for a dehydrated animal.
- There are known interactions between these medications and drugs such as amantadine, antacids, cyclosporine, digoxin, thiazide diuretics, warfarin, methotrexate, phenytoin, tricyclic antidepressants, pyrimethamine, potassium supplements, and potassium-sparing agents.
