Albendazole Oral Suspension is an anthelmintic drug used to treat various parasite infections, including nematodes, cestodes, and protozoa, in many species of animals like camels, cats, cows, dogs, goats, horses, poultry, sheep, and pigs. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodiasis, taeniasis, and chronic liver flukes.
What is the use of albendazole oral suspension for animals?
For the treatment and control of a wide range of parasitic infections caused by nematodes, parasites and protozoa, including the following parasites: .
- Gastrointestinal helminths (gastrointestinal helminths, Cooper's helminths, Sarcoptes spongiformis, nematodes, esophageal helminths, parasitic helminths, Strongyloides and Strongyloides capillaris)
- Lung worms (Tapeworm vivax and Tapeworm filamentosum)
- Cestodes (Moniezia tapeworm)
Precautions
- Use with caution in animals with hepatic insufficiency.
- Dormancy period: 7 days for pigs, 5 days for chickens.
- Strictly aseptic operation during injection to prevent cross infection.
