What is Calcium Hydroxide?
Calcium hydroxide, inorganic compound, chemical formula Ca(OH)2, commonly known as hydrated lime or slaked lime. Is a white powdery solid, adding water, in two layers, the upper aqueous solution is called clarified lime water, the lower suspension is called lime milk or lime slurry. The solubility of calcium hydroxide decreases with the increase of temperature. Insoluble in alcohol, soluble in ammonium salt, glycerol, and can react with acid to produce the corresponding calcium salt.
Applications：
1.Food Industry: Food grade calcium hydroxide is used as a food additive, mainly as a pH regulator and firming agent.
