Properties of Polybutadiene Rubber due to the molecular structure of cis-butadiene rubber is mainly cis-1,4-structure, the molecular arrangement is regular, so its elasticity is better than natural rubber. The glass transition temperature of Polybutadiene RubberTg = -105 ℃, so its low temperature physical properties are very good, cold resistance temperature below -55 ℃. The elasticity is one of the general-purpose rubber. Heat resistance is the same as natural rubber, both 120 ℃, but heat aging resistance is better than natural rubber. Tensile strength is lower than that of natural rubber and styrene butadiene rubber, so carbon black and other reinforcing agents must be added. Tear strength is also lower than natural rubber, wet slip resistance is not good, used in tire treads, shoe soles, easy to slip on wet roads. The abrasion resistance of smooth-butadiene rubber is excellent, the hysteresis loss is small, and the heat generation is low, which is very favorable to the products in the multiple deformation under the heat generation and deformation reduction.
Smooth butadiene rubber does not need to be plasticized before compounding. The compounds have good press-out properties and are suitable for injection molding, but have poor adhesion. The smooth-butadiene rubber is more sensitive to changes in processing temperature, when the roller temperature of the opener is above 60 ℃, the rubber is easy to peel off the roller, bringing some difficulties to the processing. Generally need to be used with natural rubber or styrene butadiene rubber, in order to improve the process performance.
