What is 2-Hydroxyethyl Acrylate HEA/2-HEA?
2-Hydroxyethyl Acrylate is color transparent liquid, can be miscible with water and most organic solvents. 2-HEA is widely used in chemical industry and research as an important organic synthesis intermediate. It can be used as a monomer or cross-linking agent in coatings and adhesives; can be used to synthesize various pigments, resins, plastics and rubbers; and can also be used as a light stabilizer for photosensitive polymers.
2-Hydroxyethyl acrylate HEA uses:
1. In the field of coatings, 2-HEA can be used as a cross-linking agent, which can improve the adhesion and abrasion resistance of coatings, and can also be used in the manufacture of thermosetting acrylic coatings, light-curing acrylic coatings, and photographic coatings.
2. HEA can be used in the field of adhesives and sealants to improve bonding strength and water resistance.
3. In the textile industry, used in the manufacture of fabric adhesives, textile treatment agents, fiber treatment agents.
4. In paper processing, 2-Hydroxyethyl Acrylate can be used to make acrylic emulsion for coating, which can improve the water resistance and strength of paper.
5. In electronic industry, it can be used as dehydrating agent for electron microscope.
6. In analytical chemistry, as chemical reagent.
