Isobutylene is a hydrocarbon. It is a four-carbon branched alkene, one of the four isomers of butylene. It is a colorless flammable gas, and is of considerable industrial value.
Applications：
- Synthetic Rubber: Isobutylene is an important monomer for the synthesis of butyl rubber, copolymerisation with isoprene can produce butyl rubber.
