Products Description
What is Piperidine?
Colorless oily liquid, flammable, miscible with water. Soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, slightly soluble in ether. Boiling point 228 ºC. Melting point 20.2 ºC. Flash point (open cup) 121 ºC. Relative density 1.0171. Refractive index 1.4461.
Uses:
1. Piperidine is used as an accelerator in synthetic rubber production to speed up vulcanization and improve rubber properties for products like tires and hoses.
2. In the production of some engineering plastics such as polyamides, it can be used as an additive to adjust the molecular weight and processing properties of polymers.
3. In the production of synthetic fibers like acrylic, it can be used as a solvent or additive to dissolve raw materials and improve fiber properties.
4. Piperidine Liquid is an important intermediate in the synthesis of many drugs, including cardiovascular drugs and psychiatric drugs, helping to build molecular structures with specific pharmacological activities.

5. In the production of polyurethane, it and its derivatives can be used as amine catalysts to promote the reaction between isocyanates and polyols.
