Valeric Acid is an organic compound with the appearance of colorless liquid. It has a fruity flavor and is soluble in water. Pentanoic Acid (n-Valeric acid) has a variety of uses in industry, one major application is as a solvent for paints, dyes, adhesives and other industries.

- In the Perfume Industry: Valeric Acid is mainly used to formulate flavors such as cream, cheese, butterscotch, strawberry and rum.
