Potassium Citrate is colorless or white crystal or crystalline powder, odorless, taste salty, easy deliquescence, readily soluble in water or glycerin, almost insoluble in ethanol. Potassium citrate will melt and decompose when heated to 230°C.

2.In pharmacy, it is used to treat hypokalemia, potassium deficiency and urine alkalization.
