What is Dibasic Sodium Phosphate/Disodium phosphate?
Dibasic Sodium Phosphate,white powder or granular; relative density 1.86g/cm3; Soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol; If its aqueous solution is heated together with diluted inorganic acid, it will be hydrolyzed into phosphoric acid; It is hygroscopic, and when absorbing humidity,it will become into a product with hexa-hydrates.
Uses of N-(Isoxazol-5-yl)sulfanilamide or DSP：
1. Dibasic Sodium Phosphate can be used as food additives, disodium hydrogen phosphate can be used as buffer, water-holding agent, acidity regulator and so on.
2. It can be used to formulate pharmaceutical buffer, laxative and so on.
3. In water treatment, di-Sodium hydrogen phosphate can be used as water softener to form precipitation with calcium and magnesium ions in water to reduce the hardness of water; in printing and dyeing industry, it is used as mercerizing enhancer to improve the mercerizing effect of fabrics; in electroplating industry, it is used as buffer and additives to help improve the performance of plating solution and improve the quality of electroplating.
4. Disodium phosphate (DSP ) can be used as foliar fertilizer to supplement phosphorus and sodium elements for crops and promote the growth and development of crops.
5. In chemical analysis, it is used as analytical reagent, such as for the determination of magnesium, zinc and other metal ions; in the laboratory, it is often used as a component of buffer solution to maintain the stability of the pH value of the solution.
