Applications of Hexamethylenetetramine HMTA:

1.Resins and plastics: Hexamethylenetetramine is a commonly used curing agent for thermoplastic phenolic resins, which is solid and can be mixed dry, and is widely used in the fields of iron and steel, casting, and composite materials. It can also be used as catalyst and foaming agent for amino plastics.

2.Rubber: As an accelerator for rubber vulcanization (accelerator H), HMTA can increase the vulcanization speed and cross-linking degree of rubber, and improve the performance of rubber.

3.Textiles: Used as an anti-shrinkage finishing agent for textiles, bleaching activator for sodium chlorite, and buffering agent for water repellent CR, etc. It helps to improve the quality and performance of textiles.

4.Medicine: Hexamine is a kind of antibacterial drug, which is used to prevent chronic urinary tract infection and recurrence of urinary tract infection by decomposing and precipitating formaldehyde in acidic urine after taking internally and playing an antibacterial role.
