1.As a solvent in water-based systems, ethylene glycol mono-tert-butyl ether is used in latex water-dispersed coatings. ETB acts as a dispersant, emulsifier, rheology agent and cosolvent in the dispersion system, improving the performance of latex paint, colloidal dispersion coatings and dissolved aqueous resin coatings.
2.As a solvent for inks or a diluting dispersant in printing inks, 2-tert-Butoxyethanol can greatly improve the rheology of inks, enhancing the quality, gloss and adhesion in high-speed printing.
3. In various cleaning agents to enhance cleaning effects.
4.Used for fiber wetting and treatment.
5.As a plasticizer component to improve the flexibility and processing performance of plastics.
