Polyvinylpyrrolidone has good compatibility with various propellants and has antiseptic properties. It is widely used in hair styling and combing products as a film-forming agent, emollient and stabilizer for skin care lotions and creams, eye and facial beauty cosmetics and A base for lipsticks, a dispersant in hair dyes, and a foam stabilizer in shampoos. PVP has a detoxifying effect and reduces the irritating effects of other preparations on Chemicalbook's skin and eyes. It is also used in toothpaste as a stain remover, gelling agent and detoxifying agent.

- Food processing: Polyvinylpyrrolidone can form complexes with specific polyphenolic compounds, serving as a clarifying agent and stabilizer in food processing, and is used in beer, fruit juice, wine, etc.
