Properties of Triethylene Diamine (TEDA) / Triethylenediamine:

Appearance: colorless or white crystal at room temperature, with ammonia odor.
Melting point: 158°C
Boiling point: 174°C
Density: 1.02 g/cm³
Solubility: very soluble in water, acetone, benzene and ethanol, etc. Its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline.

Uses:

1. Triethylene Diamine (TEDA) is one of the most widely used amine catalysts in the production of polyurethane foam, which can accelerate the reaction between isocyanate and polyol, and make the foam molding quickly.
2. Triethylenediamine can be used as curing accelerator of epoxy resin, which can reduce the curing temperature of epoxy resin and shorten the curing time.
3. In petrochemical industry, it is used as absorbent for removing acidic gas.
4. TEDA is used as activator in synthetic rubber industry.
5. Used as drug intermediate in pharmaceutical field.
6. Can also be used in the preparation of other fine chemicals, such as surfactants, ion exchange resins.
