Uses
- Production of polyether polyol: Propylene Oxide is the main raw material for the production of polyether polyol, which is widely used in the manufacture of polyurethane foam, elastomers, coatings, adhesives and so on.
- Synthesis of propylene glycol: 1,2-Epoxypropane can be produced through hydrolysis reaction, which is used in the production of unsaturated polyester resins, plasticisers, surfactants, cosmetics, food additives and so on.
- Other fields: Propylene Oxide can also be used for the production of propylene carbonate, propionaldehyde, glycidol and many other organic compounds, which have a wide range of applications in the pharmaceutical, pesticide, spice, electronics and other industries.
