Products Description
Trimethylolpropane is white flaky crystal, easily soluble in water, low carbon alcohol, glycerol, N,N - dimethyl formamide, partially soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, slightly soluble in carbon tetrachloride, ether and chloroform. TMP is widely used in the production of polyester and polyurethane foam, also used in the manufacture of alkyd coatings, synthetic lubricants, plasticizers, surfactants, rosin esters and explosives. It can also be directly used as textile auxiliary and heat stabilizer of PVC resin.
Applications of Trimethylol Propane (TMP)：
1. Synthetic polyester resin: Trimethylolpropane is an important raw material for the production of polyester resin, which can be used in the manufacture of coatings, paints, adhesives and so on.
2. Synthetic polyurethane: Trimethylol propane is widely used in the production of polyurethane foam, elastomer and coating.
3. Synthetic surfactant: TMP flakes can be used as raw material to synthesize surfactant with good performance, used in detergent, emulsifier, lubricant and other products.
