What is Allyloxypolyethyleneglycol (APEG)?
Allyloxypolyethyleneglycol also known as Polyethylene glycol monoallyl ether, is a commonly used polymer. It contains oxyethylene chains and allyl alcohol groups in its molecular structure. APEG is a colorless to light yellow liquid with good solubility and surface activity; it has good solubility in water and many organic solvents; it also has good dispersibility, oxidation resistance and stability. It has a wide range of applications in industrial production; it can also be used in liquid chromatography analysis, particle surface treatment, paint additives, etc.
Applications:
1. Allyloxypolyethyleneglycol is an important raw material for synthesizing polycarboxylic acid water reducing agents, which can improve the fluidity and workability of concrete and are widely used in the construction industry.
2.As a copolymer monomer of fluorocarbonate resin in fluorocoatings, APEG can adjust the hardness of the coating and impart hydrophilicity to the fluororesin.
3. Allyl Alcohol Ethoxylate is used in modified organosilicon grafting reactions to improve the surface properties of organosilicon materials, such as enhancing their hydrophilicity, adhesion and anti-corrosion properties.
4.It can be used as a dispersant in polymer materials.
5. Polyethylene glycol monoallyl ether can be used as a paper strengthening agent, sizing agent or defoaming agent to improve the strength, smoothness and water resistance of paper.
6. In addition to being used in fluorine coatings, it can also be used in other coatings to improve the performance of coatings, such as film formation, adhesion and weather resistance.
