Sodium formaldehyde bisulfite is a colorless crystal or white crystalline powder, easily soluble in water, also soluble in alcohols, ethers, esters and other organic solvents; Sodium hydroxymethyl sulfonate is alkaline, can react with acid to generate the corresponding salt; it is relatively stable in dry conditions, but it is prone to hygroscopicity and softening in humid environments. Formaldehyde sodium bisulfite can be used as catalyst for organic synthesis reaction, also can be used in textile industry, paper industry, water treatment.
