Applications：
1. Refrigerant (Main Use):
- Cyclopentane CAS 287-92-3 replaces traditional chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as a blowing agent for rigid polyurethane foam. It is widely used in the manufacture of insulation layers for refrigerators, freezers, and cold storage, as well as in the foaming process for solar water heaters and building insulation materials.
- A small amount is also used as a refrigerant in small refrigeration equipment (such as car refrigerators).
2. Chemical Raw Materials and Solvents:
- It is used as a chemical intermediate in the synthesis of cyclopentanol and cyclopentanone (further processed into fragrances and pharmaceutical intermediates, such as cyclopentylcarboxylic acid).
