What is Hexamidine Diisethionate?
Hexamidine Diisethionate is an organic salt of Hexamidine. Hexamidine is soluble in water and insoluble in organic solvents. These ingredients function as preservatives, which help cleanse the skin or prevent odor by inhibiting the growth of or destroying microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi and yeast.
Uses：
1. Personal care products: used in cosmetics as anti-dandruff, acne, anti-itching agent, with strong inhibitory and sterilizing effects on dandruff-causing ovine chaffersporella and acne-causing Propionibacterium acnes.
2. Pharmaceutical field: Hexamidine diisethionate powder has broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and can be used in some topical preparations, with inhibitory effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as molds, yeasts and other fungi, and it can also be used in the treatment of eye infections and so on.
