99% Diethyl malonate also known as ethyl malonate , is a colorless, fragrant liquid vital in organic synthesis. Used as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals (e.g., sulfonamides, barbiturates), agrochemicals (sulfonylurea herbicides), and food fragrances (fruit essences). Its active methylene group enables key reactions like alkylation. Diethyl malonate liquid is also used as a solvent and GC stationary phase. Boiling at 199°C, it's widely used in dyes and plastics, balancing versatility and stability in chemical production.
Applications：
1. Diethyl malonate is an important pharmaceutical intermediate, which can be used in the synthesis of sulfonamides, barbiturates, chloroquine, phenylbutazone and other drugs.
