Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) is a brominated flame retardant. The compound is a white solid (not colorless), although commercial samples appear yellow. It is one of the most common flame retardants. Tetrabromobisphenol A powder is used in a variety of consumer products such as electronic equipment, fire extinguishers, furniture, plastics, textiles, and kitchen hoods.
Applications：
1.Tetrabromobisphenol A is mainly used as a precursor for the production of brominated epoxy resins, and is used as a reactive flame - retardant in printed circuit boards.
2.TBBPA is also applied to epoxy resin sealants, adhesives and encapsulations.
3.As an additive type flame retardant, it is used in thermoplastic electronic and electrical components, such as the casings made of ABS plastic.
