Tiglic aldehyde also known as 2-methyl-2-butenal, is an organic compound, colorless liquid with a strong irritating odor. Soluble in water, alcohols and ether solvents. Tiglic aldehyde (C5H8O) can be used as a raw material for synthetic chemicals, can be used to prepare a variety of organic synthesis intermediates, also used in the production of rubber accelerators, pigments and dyes.
