What is Enrofloxacin?

Enrofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that belongs to the fluoroquinolone group of drugs and is mainly used for the treatment of bacterial infections in livestock, and is particularly effective against Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria. It is commonly used for bacterial infections of the respiratory and digestive tracts as well as the urinary tract in poultry, cattle, sheep and swine.

Usage and dosage of Enrofloxacin

Intramuscular injection: 0.025ml per 1kg body weight of cattle.It is recommended to be injected 1 to 2 times a day and used continuously for 2 to 3 days to ensure the best therapeutic effect.

Swine: the usual rest period is 5-14 days.

Cattle: Beef cattle: rest period is 14 days.

Sheep: The withdrawal period is usually 7-14 days.

Poultry: In areas where use is permitted, the rest period is usually 5-10 days.
