High-purity industrial glacial acetic acid (GAA), CAS number 64-19-7, is a high-concentration (99.5%/99.8%) acetic acid. It is a colorless, corrosive liquid with a pungent vinegar odor, which solidifies into ice-like crystals at 16.6°C.
Glacial Acetic Acid (CH3COOH) can be used as a raw material in the production of vinyl acetate, acetic anhydride, and various polymers. It is also used in the production of synthetic fibers and fabrics. GAA, as a chemical intermediate, is used as a structural unit in agrochemicals, dyes, fragrances, and perfumes. It is also an excellent organic solvent for industrial cleaning and descaling.
