3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (CAS No. 2530-85-0), also known as Trimethoxysilylpropyl methacrylate, 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl Methacrylate,is a versatile methacryloxy functional silane coupling agents used to improve the physical and electrical properties of glass reinforced and mineral filled thermoset resin, typically those curing via a free-radical mechanism (e. G. Polyester, polyurethanes and acrylics) and in filled or reinforced thermoplastic polymers, including polyolefins and thermoplastic polyurethanes.
Applications：
1.3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane is mainly used to improve the bonding properties of organic and inorganic materials, such as glass fiber in fiberglass and silica fillers in plastics, rubber, paints, and coatings. It is also used in adhesives to increase bonding performance. It adapts to resins include epoxy, phenolic, melamine, polysulfide polyurethane, polystyrene, etc. to couple the two materials to improve the mechanical strength of the product, the electrical properties, weather resistance and corrosion resistance of the composite material;
2.3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl Methacrylate is widely used as a coupling agent for reinforced plastics, which can significantly improve the physical and mechanical properties, electrical properties and light transmittance of products in a wet state. It is also used as a coupling agent for ethylene-propylene rubber, butadiene rubber and acrylate, cyanoacrylate, unsaturated polyester, polymethacrylate, acrylate and other adhesives.
