Disodium Sebacate (DSS) Powder with CAS 17265-14-4 is the disodium salt of sebacic acid, usually presented as a white powder.It is readily soluble in water and can be dissolved in alcohol and ether solvents; it is stable at room temperature but may decompose at high temperature; disodium sebacate is weakly alkaline and can react with acids to form the corresponding sodium salt.Sebacic acid disodium salt can be used as surfactant, metal corrosion inhibitor, intermediate of synthesizing polymer materials.
Applications:
1. Cosmetic industry: Disodium sebacate is used as a cosmetic additive. Can adjust the pH value of cosmetics, but also has a certain moisturizing and anticorrosive effect, it can be added to creams, lotions and shampoos.
2. Detergent industry: in detergents, dimethylsiloxane can be used as a chelating agent chelating metal ions in the water to prevent the formation of scale and improve the cleaning effect of detergents.
